New Pola Hotel ★★★

Beautiful view of the River Nile. Near to all amenities.

The swimming pool was half empty and filthy. The fridge in my room was filthy. There was no cleaning staff.

The location of the hotel was quite good. room view covers the Nile river. The fact that the room has a balcony can be evaluated as + points.

employees do not speak English and absolutely cannot be communicated. The hotel's pool should not attract your attention, it is not used. The cleanliness of the rooms is not that good.

The view and location. Room and airco and beds are fine.

I booked the hotel to have a swimming pool and it was empty and the sunbeds and umbrellas very old. The toilet flush was very hard to push. You get what you pay for, so was okay but unfortunately couldn't use the pool.

Staff was helpful.

Hotel didn't have an operative restaurant. The swimming pool is not as shown in the pictures, water was literally green. The rooms look way older in reality than what is on the pictures.

The only reason I stayed at this hotel and extended my stay was because I was job hunting , and it was affordable to stay for a long time, if I was on vacation,I would avoid this motel completely as it would only ruin your vacay! The staff dislike the owners son Mr Bola (the manager ) so much that they plant bundles of hair In between the sheets and on arrival I had to change rooms due to this. No room is clean even if you change it.contacted dermatitis, smells comes out the toilet drains and stinks up the room , bed bugs , mold etc. presented with dirty towels and dirty blankets and pillows ,also the manager/owners son tried to scam me into paying more money as per black market dollar exchange rate which is much more than the daily dollar exchange rate ( Google about this ) his reason for charging me more than the booking.com rate is because according to him I use electricity and water ! the reason they don’t allow you to pay online and to only pay onsite is to scam you! obviously I didn’t pay this black market rate as I contacted a lawyer who said it’s not allowed to charge this rate , the one time I extended online and didn’t go down to reception the day of to pay as I was sick from food poisoning so I stayed in my room , them knowing that I will pay as I have before when I extended my stay ,they cut the electricity in the room, when I contacted them they said they will connect it back when I pay. not my fault I was sick and they don’t except online Payments, what an inconvenience! when I brought this up as to how they can do this, atleast call me instead of cutting the power in the room, he argued with me and said he is the owner and I am just a guest, these people are just as dirty as their motel is , eager to take the money for the stay but disrespect their guests .poor mentality , worst I have ever experienced in all Egypt and I have travelled to many countries and was never treated this poorly as a guest, these people have no shame!

The balcony had a gorgeous view of the river and mountains. The terrace had a neat and clean swimming pool and great view, too.

The hot water was an issue (took long in coming and did not stay for long).

The name of hotel should have be en "I don't know Pola".The staff knows nothing, very unhelpful. Even the hotel manager was rude. The staff didn't even know how to take a taxi. For every question they had only one answer "I don't know". If you ever happen to visit this hotel please take pic of two buffoons standing in the reception with no expression on their faces. This will help fellow travellers.Just stay away from this hotel.

First of all, they allowed us an early check-in which was perfect as we were so tired. Clean rooms, perfect balcony view, good room service, the roof is perfect although the pool is too small for adults

No WIFI, there was no water in the minibar of our room when we first arrived, breakfast was not that good..

The breakfast was of a poor quality when asked for an extra egg permission had to be obtained from management the cutlery and plates were not clean the frying pan and the whole kitchen was not clean staff employed did not know what cleanliness ment when shown the specific areas that needs attention the staff sits and watch tv when they could be used for other areas that need attention. The two little areas adjacent to the entrance of the hotel are being utilised for a dumping area of redundant hotel equipment it should be closed off in order for the hotel to give a better impression of the hotel the whole hotel area is screaming clean me clean me

Noise from road constantly.... Breakfast was below average... I asked for two eggs and was refused plus boring weak water like powered orange juice

It is in a good location

The room was very tired and dirty, the breakfast was limited and not very nice, it is rated as a 3* hotel, I would put it no more than a 2* hotel

The location, it is clean, it was possible to check-in earlier, we felt safe in Luxor... and we advise anyone to visit Luxor because the tourist destinations (Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, etc.) make all the money. As a tip...you can visit also Aisha Restaurant, a cozy place, very close to the hotel (3-5 minutes walking) where they serve very nice Egyptian food, the owner is very kind, the restaurant is unexpectedly clean and the prices are medium range.

The breakfast can be improved with fruits and natural juices... Even if it is not the fault of the hotel.... I have to mention that during our stay in Luxor we were constantly hassled by taxis and horse drivers. We know that the situation of tourism now in Egypt is dramatic but that does not mean I have to buy the services offered by anyone.

very bad hotel full of mosquito and Flies dirty room, mini bar is not working, the light is not working, dirty washroom, Towels are very consumer its family business staff with slippers no uniform the father and the doubter of the owner threatened me to call the police for be because i complained about the room and the mini bar and the cleanliness and he said that he will kick me out of the hotel i told him check me out and give me my money they charge me more what booking.com show the price after i booked booking.com if very big name i don't know how they have hotel like this under your name poor breakfast with expired egg, expired Yogurt , expired cheese

The service was good and the owner and his two young employees were really sweet and helpful! The rooftop is definitely the selling point - you have an incredible view of the Pyramids! The was so hot and the water pressure was great.

The whole motel just seemed very unkept - as if its peak was 10 years ago and now, nobody seems to care much. The room wasn't the cleanest, but sufficed for our short stay. I would recommend a paint job on all of the walls to freshen everything up, give the rooms a deep clean, and give some TLC to the rooftop area.

Only the Bathroom was comfort

Staff was very bad ,very rude and not professional because they are young (13-14 years) , no hot water at room , tv is not working, AC remote is not working , can't serve breakfast at room even with extra charge
